Social Media Strategy

for a non-profit in the San Francisco Bay Area focused on criminal justice reform.

Date

October 2021 - present

Brief

This organization does incredible work but their online presence didn't reflect that - my task was to give the audience of staff, donors, and program alumni multiple opportunities to engage and encourage them to make donations.

What I Did

I developed a robust content strategy which included posts that inspire, educate, and entertain audience members who engage with the organization in very different ways.

Results

Through maintaining a consistent posting schedule, I increased the organization's  Facebook page reach by 66%, Twitter profile views by 25%, and LinkedIn engagement by 400+%.

Content Creation

For a non-profit in Los Angeles focused on economic justice.

Date

April 2020

Brief

With unemployment rising at an unprecedented rate, my task was to leverage social media to help BIPOC job seekers navigate economic uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What I Did

I developed a content series called #OpportunityAlerts, which showcased new job listings bi-weekly. Each listing was local, paid $20/hr.+, and was in a high-growth industry.

Results

This content series helped the organization gain over 1,000 followers on Instagram, increasing traffic to the website and bolstering program sign-ups.
